whale watching
todos santos is famous for being a beloved coastline haven for whales. between november to december, you’re guaranteed to enjoy whales breaching and playing just along the shoreline. if seeing the whales from the house isn’t enough, you’ll find plenty of operators in town offering boat trips of various durations.

hiking punta lobos
the local favorite hike is a 4.5 mile there-and-back trail starting at the romantically decaying former sugar mill just behind the san cristobal hotel. going up and over the mountains from there will take you to a famous and breathtaking old deep water port with sparkling seas, rocky shoreline, and cacti surrounds.

surfing

surfers ranging in skill from absolute novices through world’s best all find the swells worth the trip alone. beginners can take first time lessons at nearby cerritos beach. experts will find incredible tubes along any of the area’s coastline.

turtle release
children and adults alike adore the opportunity to protect turtle nests and help the newly hatched get to the ocean. famous turtle hatching spot is walking distance from the home.

yoga
stay calm and limber at one of the many studios nearby. cuatro vientos is a particular favorite.

atv rides through the desert
zoom through the baja’s surreal landscape by renting an atv either as a solo adventurer or join a tour expedition. plenty of rental groups available just outside of town.

day trips

hiking in a unesco designated biosphere
the sierra de la laguna mountains are visible from the house, though to access them requires a scenic drive across the baja penninsula to cañon san dionísio from the town of santiago, sañon san bernardo from miraflores, and cañon san pablo from caduaño. the trails range in levels of challenge and duration. bring your bathing suits! once inside the biosphere, you can take a dip in natural hot springs or cold springs.

snorkel or scuba in cabo pulmo
on the eastern / sea of cortez side of the baja penninsula is a stunning coral reef to explore. home to a dazzling variety of undersea life, it’s worth getting up early to drive the 1.5 hours to swim with the amazing creatures.

san jose del cabo
there are actually two "cabos” and of them, we suggest visiting this more tranquil and charming one. also filled with art galleries and restaurants, the best evening to head over is thursdays when the town comes alive for the weekly art walk.

cabo san lucas
known more for its party scene, a trip to cabo is great for late night fun out on the town!
